Billy Librera has resigned from his job as Madison High basketball coach in order to take the position of Athletic Director at Chatham High School it was learned on Monday.
Librera, a West Morris Central alumnus who played basketball and was briefly an assistant coach at the school, was approved by the Board of Education for the School District of the Chathams on Monday. He will take over his new position on July 1.

In six years with the Dodgers, Librera has compiled a 78-46 record. The last two seasons have been exceedingly successful. Madison posted a 17-8 mark in the 2010-11 season. Last year, the Dodgers finished at 20-5 but were bounced by West Essex in the opening round of state tournament play.
No decision has been made on who will take over as Madison High boys basketball coach.
