Cisco’s sophomore season success

Mark Cisco’s sophomore season at Columbia University was as successful one. The former Mendham High standout continued to develop with his Ivy League team. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound athlete started 13 of 25 games. He averaged 6.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in 17 minutes a game. He also had 21 blocks for the 15-13 Lions.

Cisco also posted a career high of 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in a game against Yale. He also grabbed a career best 11 rebounds against Lafayette.

Cisco was outstanding when he played for the Minutemen and helped them to two of their four consecutive Morris County Tournament titles. In his senior year in 2008-09 he averaged 18.6 and nine rebounds. He was also a 1,000 point scorer in his career for the Minutemen.
