Kinnelon, West Morris among today’s winners

December 18 Morris County boys basketball games

Note: The editor is in bed with a bad cold but the games go on.


Mendham 48, Parsippany Hills 24 – The Minutemen improve to 2-0. Mendham led 25-9 at halftime. Alex Jacobs had 15 points and three steals, Joey Lamberto had 13 points and Will Gibbs had a total of 14 rebounds (9 defensive and 5 offensive.)

West Morris 71, Roxbury 49 – Pat Barron scored 23 points, 18 in the first half, to spark the Highlanders. Sam McClellan had 12 points and five assists and Sean McElwaine had 12 points and five assists for West Morris (2-0). Malcolm Chavis scored 19 for Roxbury.

Delbarton 67, Randolph 48 – Ryan Curran scored 17 points and Rob Thoma added 14 for the Green Wave (1-1), Ryan Harris scored 22 for the winless Rams.

Morristown 50, Chatham 40 – Ryan Brunnock scored 19 and Sean Hoehn chipped in with 10 for the Colonials. Sam Carson had 10 points for the Cougars.

Kinnelon 49, Morris Catholic 48 – Jared Brown’s putback with 40 seconds left proved to be the game winner in the Colts come-from-behind triumph. KInnelon rallied from a 39-32 deficit. Evan Argirou had a career high 18 points for the Colts and Sean Robbins added 12. Justin Johannessen had 13 for Morris Catholic.

Whippany Park 52, Parsippany 47 – Andrew Halloran paced the Wildcats with 17 points. Jake Waddon added 15 and Tom Michalski had 11. Lionel Chambers led the Red Hawks with 17.

Mount Olive 79, Montville 54 – Rashaan Spencer scored 29 points and Zac Heenan added 22 for the Marauders. Jess Warech had a 21-point performance for the Mustangs.

Pope John 58, Morris Hills 41 – The Lions are on a roll.
