Chatham, Hanover Park enjoy tournament success

Chatham 76, Millburn 42 – Luke Conrad scored 12 points and teammates Drew Ballard and Robert Raiola added 11 points apiece for the Cougars in a Cougar Classic contest. Chatham took control with a 34-20 halftime margin and extended its lead the rest of the way. Chatham is 3-2 on the season.

Hanover Park 71, New Providence 64 – Max Reynolds had 17 points and eight rebounds to pace the Hornets. Matt Williams added 16 points and seven rebounds and Brendan Rudolph had a 10-point performance for Hanover Park in the Cougar Classic contest.

Hopatcong Tournament

Roxbury 59, Hopatcong 43 – Malcolm Chavis scored 14 points to lift the Gaels. Doug Alexander added 12 points and Ryan Kelley had 11 for Roxbury (2-3). The Gaels sealed the win with a 21-11 fourth-quarter run. Ryan Clarke paced the Chiefs with 19 points.

Madison Tournament

Whippany Park 54, Madison 40 – A.J. Holleran scored 17 points and Ken Jones and Jake Waddon added nine points apiece for the 3-2 Wildcats in the tournament’s consolation game. Sean Haughey and Tom Azzolini each scored a dozen points apiece for the Dodgers (1-5).

Postponed

The benefit contest between Mount Olive and Tottenville (N.Y.) on Saturday was postponed because of weather conditions and will be scheduled for a later date.
