Roxbury wins, Pope John edges Mount Olive

Junior forward Doug Alexander scored 17 points to lift Roxbury to a 51-42 triumph over Parsippany in a NJAC non-division battle on Thursday.

Senior point guard Ryan Kelley scored 16 points and senior guard Malcolm Chavis added 15 for the Gaels (8-9). Parsippany drops to 4-11 despite a 20-point performance by Leonard Lee.

Pope John 72, Mount Olive 68 — Freshman guard Bryce Aiken scored 26 points and Jermaine Lawrence had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Lions. Senior guard Rashaan Spencer scored 27 points and senior center Zach Heeman had 13 for the Marauders (13-3). Mount Olive performed admirably considering they were coming off a 69-65 win over Morris Knolls on Wednesday in which they rallied from a 26-point second-quarter deficit to win.

Glen Ridge 47, Kinnelon 39 — Senior guard Sean Robbins scored 21 points and senior center R.J. Giannetti added nine points for the Colts (6-10).
