Morristown, Jefferson, Montville, Mt. Lakes earn holiday titles


Senior guard Sean Hoehn scored 31 points to pace Morristown to a 63-53 victory over Summit in the Summit Holiday Tournament on Saturday. The Colonials rallied from a 30-27 halftime deficit to earn the win. Jack Mongey had 12 points and Nick Duff contributed 10 points for unbeaten Morristown (4-0).

Jefferson 67, Morris Knolls 58

Chris Telman scored 20 points and Bryan Langan added 19 for the Falcons in the Morris Knolls Tournament final. The win lifts Jefferson to 3-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles drop to 3-1. Carroll Rich had 21 points and Mike Chapman added 11.

Governor Livingston 55, Parsippany Hills 50 

The Vikings drop to 0-3 in the consolation contest of the Morris Knolls Holiday Tournament.

Montville 62, Pompton Lakes 50

A 22-13 fourth quarter effort helped the Mustangs capture the Butler Tournament. Jacob Kaplan had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Storch added 15 points and Eric Werheim had 14 points and nine rebounds.

Butler 64, Parsippany 61

Nick Ballistreri had 20 points and Glenn Reger had 19 for the Bulldogs (1-2). Leonard Lee scored 22 points and Lionel Chambers added 18 for the winless Red Hawks.

Mountain Lakes 60, Voorhees 58

The Lakers rallied from a 15-8 first-quarter deficit to capture the Hopatcong Holiday Tournament. Matt Reese scored 24 points and Peyton Miller had 12 points and eight assists for the unbeaten Lakers (4-0).

Roxbury 75, Hopatcong 51

The Gaels earned its first win of the season in the Hopatcong consolation contest. Jack Clevenger scored 21 points and Anthony McMyne added 15 for the Gaels (1-2).

Whippany Park 71, Eastern Christian 42

Ryan Gaynor scored 27 points and Ryan McArdle added 10 for the Wildcats (1-2) in the Garfield Tournament consolation game.

New Providence 46, Madison 41

Gavin Wallace had 13 points and Kevin Armstrong contributed 11 for the winless Dodgers in Cougar Classic action.

Millburn 42, Chatham 38

Luke Conrad had 18 points for the Cougars (2-2).

Morristown-Beard 31, Christ the King 22

Brandon Babb scored 10 points and Chris Pooler added nine points for the Crimson in the consolation game of the Al Lobalbo Tournament.
