Mount Olive, Heeman end year with a rout

Morriscountyvarsityboysbasketball Senior center Zach Heeman scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lift Mount Olive to a 90-58 victory over Germantown Friends (Pa.) in the final of the Bill Osborn bracket of the Boardwalk Classic in Wildwood on Monday.

Donte Wise scored 12 points, Chris Grillo added 11, Ryan Traub had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Rashaan Spencer also scored 10 points for the Marauders (3-1). Mount Olive led 48-29 at the half and continued to build on its lead. Overall, the Marauders hit 11 of 34 from 3-point range.

Chatham 58, Madison 39

Senior guard Luke Conrad scored 22 points to lift the Cougars in the final game of the round-robin Cougar Classic. Graham Delaney added 10 points for Chatham (3-2). The Cougars led 17-11 after the first quarter and had a 27-18 edge at halftime. Gavin Wallace scored 12 points and Kevin Armstrong added 11 points for the Dodgers (0-5).

Irvington 56, Randolph 54

Michael Talbert scored 27 points and grabbed five rebounds in a Joe Silver Tournament contest. Barry Lynch scored 13 points and Patrick Archer snagged 13 rebounds. Irvington’s 11-7 fourth-quarter run gave it the narrow victory and evened its record at 2-2.
