Hoehn paces Morristown; Jefferson romps

Bryan Langan scored 17 points and Chrs Telman added 16 to lift unbeaten Jefferson to a 67-41 triumph over Kittatinny on Thursday. Jefferson (6-0) took control by outscoring Vernon 24-6 in the third quarter.

Morristown 85, Parsippany Hills 40

Sean Hoehn scored 25 points to help the Colonials stay unbeaten at 6-0. The Vikings drop to 0-6.

Chatham 45, Randolph 34

The Cougars pulled away with a 16-8 fourth-quarter effort. Stefan Goles scored 12 points and Luke Conrad had 11 to pace the Cougars (5-2). Barry Lynch scored 12 points for the Rams (2-7).

Pequannock 43, Mountain Lakes 41

Ian Campbell scored 15 points as the Golden Panthers knocked the Lakers from the ranks of the unbeaten. A 15-8 fourth-quarter run provided the difference. Bryan Peters added 11 points and Stan Wisniewski added 10 for Pequannock (3-2). Matt Reese paced the 5-1 Lakers with 14 points.

Delbarton 51, Roxbury 49

The Green Wave survived a close one. Delbarton received double-digit performances by David Murphy (14 points), Nick Hamilton (12 points) and Seamus Craugh (10 points). The Green Wave (2-6) earned the road victory with a 16-9 spark in the fourth quarter. Doug Alexander paced Roxbury (2-4) with 13 points.

Hanover Park 66, Dover 56

Matt Geisser scored 16 points and Nick Burbella added 15 to propel the Hornets. An 18-9 first quarter run set the tone for Hanover Park (4-2). Ryan Charyshyn scored 25 points for the Tigers (3-3).

Morristown-Beard 58, Whippany Park 47

Stephen Sangree’s 23-point performance paced the Crimson (5-2). Morristown-Beard took charge with a 16-7 second-quarter performance. Ryan Gaynor scored 19 points for the Wildcats (3-3).

Morris Catholic 90, Madison 30

Wayne Patterson scored 18 points, Jay Flaherty had 16 points and Amir Hamilton had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Crusaders (5-2).

Mount Olive 86, Vernon 52

Chris Grillo scored 18 points and Zach Heeman chipped in with 12 for Mount Olive. The Marauders also received eight points from Rashaan Spencer who has 980 career varsity points. Mount Olive decided the matter early with a 36-9 first-quarter surge.

Mendham 60, West Morris 40.

It is the second time the Minutemen has topped the Wolfpack. Jack Horan scored 25 points and Alex Jacobs had 18 points and seven rebounds for Mendham (6-2). Connor Barron scored 13 points for West Morris (4-3).

Morris Knolls 46, Morris Hills 30

The Golden Eagles earned a home victory over their sister school rivals. Carroll Rich scored 22 points and Ryan Bornemann added a dozen for Morris Knolls (4-3).

Boonton 68, Kinnelon 61

The Bombers break through in the win column. Sammy Asani paced the Bombers with 26 points. A 25-8 third-quarter effort did the trick for Boonton (1-6). Chris D’Avonzo added 16 points for the Bombers. Eric Hausser scored 20 points for Kinnelon (2-4).

High Point 62, Montville 60

The Wildcats prevailed on a late bucket. Adam Walton scored 24 for High Point. Jesse Warech had 20 points and seven rebounds and Jacob Kaplan had 16 points for the Mustangs.
