Weekend wins for Mendham, West Morris, Dover

Brian Kenez scored 16 points to pace Mendham to a 53-41 victory over previously unbeaten Montville on Saturday.

The Minutemen led 25-16 at the half and was able to maintain an advantage to earn the road victory. Mendham improves to 5-1. Jacob Kaplan had 16 points and nine rebounds and Erik Werheim had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Mustangs (5-1).

West Morris 39, Voorhees 38

The Wolfpack led 29-18 at the end of the third quarter and withstood a fierce fourth-quarter rally from the Vikings. Conor Barron scored 21 points, narrowly surpassing his season average of 20.4 points going into the contest. The win lifts West Morris to 3-3 on the season.

Dover 67, Pequannock 41

The Tigers led 40-21 at the half. Wilson Guapcha had 18 points and Dayshawn Bradshaw had 16 for the Tigers. Dwayne Brown contributed 14 and Dmitri Brouard added 12 points on four 3-point shots for Dover (3-3). Pequannock falls to 3-2.

Morris Hills 70, Parsippany Hills 62

An 18-10 third-quarter effort helped the Scarlet Knights pull away.

Bloomfield 62, Randolph 47

Bloomfield took control of the contest with a 23-9 third-quarter run. Julian Boykins had 11 points and Kevin Leary added nine points for the Rams (2-4).

Camden 75, Morris Catholic 60

The Crusaders drop to 2-4. Amir Allen scored 18 points and Jordan Spencer added 17 points in the road loss.

Glen Ridge 66, Boonton 51

The Ridgers pulled away with an 18-10 third-quarter effort. Chris D’Avanzo scored 19 points for the Bombers (1-4).
