Morristown, Whippany Park, Mount Olive earn wins

Colin Brunnock scored 21 points and Jack Mongey added 18 to lift Morristown to a 68-60 victory over Randolph in action on Wednesday.

Trailing 27-26 at the half, the Colonials went on a 7-0 run to start the third quarter highlighted by a Mongey 3-pointer. Morristown outscored Randolph 27-19 in the period and was able to stifle the Rams’ efforts to rally in the fourth quarter. The win lifts Morristown to 4-5. Luke Nathan scored 16 points for he Rams (2-7).

Whippany Park 54, Glen Ridge 36

Ryan Gaynor had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats. Mark Basista had 15 points and 15 rebounds in Whippany Park’s triumph.

Hanover Park 104, Dover 78

Brad Daugherty had 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds, John Crown scored 21 points and dished 11 assists and Mat Winschuh scored 20 points for Hanover Park. The Hornets outscored the Tigers 35-12 in the second quarter to take a 58-35 halftime advantage. The win lifts Hanover Park to 9-2. Dover is 5-6.

Mount Olive 83, Morris Hills 60

The Marauders are 6-0, Mount Olive led 45-36 at the half and sealed it with a 21-5 third-quarter run. The Scarlet Knights drop to 4-4.

Morris Knolls 64, Montville 49

The Golden Eagles improve to 5-3. Jacob Kaplan scored 17 points and Erik Werheim had 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Mustangs (6-2).

Morristown-Beard 57, Mountain Lakes 42

Matt Stark scored 19 points to power the Crimson. Matt McFadden added 13 for Morristown-Beard, which pulled away on a 21-2 fourth-quarter run. The Crimson are 3-5 with a two-game winning streak. Peyton Miller and Chris Boyhan scored 14 points apiece for the Lakers (4-5).

Roxbury 32, Chatham 29

A 13-5 third-quarter run gave the Gaels a 28-20 edge going into the final period. Anthony McMyne had 11 points and Steven Loreng had eight points for Roxbury in the low scoring contest. The Gaels are 8-1. Jake Bevich had eight points for the Cougars (7-3).

Mendham 43, West Morris 35

The Minutemen led 22-14 at the half. Robert Annen scored 23 points and Keith Hall chipped in with eight for Mendham (7-3 ). Conor Barron scored 12 points for the Wolfpack (5-5)

Jefferson 43, Pequannock 34

The Falcons are 6-2. Connor Asay scored 14 points and Jay Flaherty added nine for Jefferson. Jamie Morella paced the Golden Panthers with eight points.
