Mo-Beard, Parsippany reach .500 mark with wins

Matt Stark scored 25 points to spark Morristown-Beard to an 81-69 victory over Hanover Park 81-69 to win its fifth consecutive game and even its record at 6-6 in a contest on Thursday.

Matt McFadden scored 19 points and Brian Monaghan had 15 for the Crimson. A 26-15 third-quarter surge gave Morristown-Beard a 65-51 edge going into the final period. John Crown had 20 points and Brad Daugherty had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Hornets. Hanover Park drops to 9-5 with the loss.

Parsippany 57, Madison 36

Declan Devens scored a game-high 24 points and Hayden Cerrato added 13 for Parsippany (6-6). Matt Haughey scored nine points for Madison (2-9).

Montville 55, West Morris 37

The Mustangs grabbed a 26-16 advantage at the half. Erik Werheim scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Jacob Kaplan had 17 points and eight rebounds for Montville (9-2) . Conor Barron scored 12 points for the Wolfpack (5-8).

Mount Olive 74, Chatham 66

The Marauders improve to 8-1. The Cougars drop to 9-4. Mount Olive led 43-38 at the half.

Morris Catholic 55, Butler 45

The Crusaders led the Bulldogs 30-17 at the half. Sean Mollahan had 15 points and nine rebounds and Jordan Spencer scored 14 points for Morris Catholic (6-6). Kevin Rooney had 13 points for Butler.

Morristown 65, Livingston 54

Jack Mongey had a game-high 17 points, Luke Haralampoudis scored 11 points and Kevin Hoehn added 19 for the Colonials.A 19-6 second-quarter burst helped Morristown build a 36-20 halftime advantage. The Colonials are 6-6.

Delbarton 58, Sparta 42

Steve Clapp scored 20 points and Robbie Price added 12 for the Green Wave (7-5). Delbarton led 27-21 at the half.

Pequannock 56, Whippany Park 48

James Hitchcock scored 12 points and Derek Nelson added 10 for the Golden Panthers (9-4). Pequannock rallied from a 25-19 halftime deficit. Ryan Gaynor scored 16 points and Mark Basista added 11 for Whippany Park (7-5).

Mendham 65, Morris Hills 35

The Minutemen led 21-10 after the first quarter and held a 33-19 edge at the half. Robert Annen scored 16 points and Keith Hall added 14 for Mendham (9-3). Bill Morin scored nine points for Morris Hills to (5-5).

Roxbury 51, Randolph 38

The Gaels improve to 9-2. Roxbury led 23-12 at the half and maintained an advantage the rest of the way.

Morris Tech 61, Warran Tech 36

The Devils are 3-11. Steven Vechev had 17 points and 11 rebounds and David Douglas had 14 points and six assists
