Mo-Beard stuns Roxbury; Kinnelon, Mount Olive win

Brian Monaghan scored 12 points and Matt McFadded added 10 to lift Morristown-Beard to a 47-42 victory over Roxbury in Thursday’s action. The Crimson led 25-13 at the half. Morristown-Beard is 6-5 and on a five-game winning streak. Doug Alexander scored 14 points to pace the Gaels (9-3).

Kinnelon 88, Boonton 66

Jaison Buchanan’s 22-point performance led four teammates in double figures in the Colts triumph. Matt Stewart scored 18 points, John Hamill had 16, Eric Hausser had 12 and Charlie Von Schalscha had 10 for Kinnelon. Sammy Asani had a game-high 28 points and Josh Smith added 13 for the Bombers.

Mount Olive 100, Vernon 72

The Marauders hit the century mark behind Donte’s Wise’s 21-point performance. Chris Grillo and Bobby Corpion contributed 14 points each and Anthony Ficacci added 11. Mount Olive led 49-29 at the half. The Marauders are 9-2.

Chatham 55, North Plainfield 47

The Cougars are 10-4. A 16-10 fourth-quarter effort sparked the Chatham triumph.

Mountain Lakes 61, Dover 41

Mark DiIonno’s 26-point performance paced the Lakers. Tate Gillie and Brad Smith added nine points each to help Mountain Lakes to a road victory. Dwayne Brown scored 12 points for the Tigers.

Sparta 49, Morris Hills 45

Matt Toohey scored 18 points for the Scarlet Knights (5-6).

Mendham 58, Delbarton 49

Brendan O’Donnell scored 17 points and Brad Bundschuh scored 14 to spark the Minutemen (10-3). Robert Annen contributed 10 points. Mendham led 30-20 at the half. Robbie Price had 16 points and Steve Clapp scored 13 for Delbarton.

Morris Catholic 58, Whippany Park 47

Amir Allen and Jordan Spencer had 22 points apiece to power the Crusaders (7-7). Morris Catholic rallied from a halftime deficit and pulled away with a 25-12 fourth-quarter spurt. Ryan Gaynor scored 22 points and Kyle Cahill had 14 for the Wildcats.

West Morris 72, Parsippany Hills 28

West Morris outscored Parsippany Hills 7-17 in the second half. The Wolfpack is 6-8.

Hanover Park 87, Parsippany 44

A 34-4 second quarter spurt lifted the Hornets to a 55-17 halftime edge. The Hornets are 10-5.

Montville 62,  Morristown 49

The Mustangs are 10-2. A 17-4 third quarter helped Montville build a 46-26 fourth quarter advantage.

Jefferson 53, Hackettstown 43

Anthony Anderson scored 15 points and Griffin Reilly added 13 points and eight rebounds to fuel the Falcons. Jay Flaherty had 11 points and Brendan Gill corralled 13 rebounds for Jefferson (10-2)

Wednesday 

Kinnelon 61, Madison 41

Jaison Buchanan scores 23 point and Matt Stewart added 13 points to lift the Colts (3-10). Mike Bangs scored 11 points to pace the Dodgers.
