Allen lifts Morris Catholic; Morris Knolls, Delbarton win

Amir Allen’s 33-point performance lifted Morris Catholic to a 72-55 win over Whippany Park in boys basketball action on Wednesday. Rob Birstonas added 20 points. Morris Catholic pulled away with a 27-19 fourth-quarter run. Ryan Gaynor had 27 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats.

Morris Knolls 57, High Point 46

The Eagles (1-2) broke a two-game losing streak. Michael Chapman scored 32 points including 10 from the free throw line and Luke Urbanik had 10 points for Morris Knolls.

Delbarton 61, Morristown-Beard 49

The Green Wave earned their first victory of the season on the road. Steve Clapp had 31 points to pace Delbarton (1-2). Brian Monaghan scored 19 for the Crimson.

Chatham 70, Orange 46

Colin McKenna had 20 points and Jack Rooney had 17 points for the 3-0 Cougars. Tristan LeMon chipped in with 11 points. Chatham took control early with a 34-15 halftime edge.

Mendham 71, Roxbury 36

Anthony Signorelli scored 16 points and Jake Stagman had 15 to lift the Minutemen. Mendham put the game away with a 40-16 second half effort. Brandon Lessig had 13 and Matt Lupinacci had 10 for the Gaels

Dover 54, Mountain Lakes 32

Dwayne Brown’s 20-point performance lifted the Tigers. Dmitri Brouard added 12 for Dover. Tate Hillie had 12 points for the Lakers.

Hanover Park 64, Parsippany 55

Joe Jandoli scored 18 points in the Hornets’ road triumph. Hanover Park’s 15-8 third-quarter effort gave it a 44-36 advantage going into the final period. John Crown added 15 points and Matt Pitts had 13. Declan Devens scored 25 for the Red Hawks.
