Dover, Montville win titles; MCs Allen reaches 1,000 points

MorriscountyvarsityboysbasketballDwayne Brown scored 24 points and Dmitri Brouard added 13 points to lift Dover to a 62-36 win over Boonton and capture the Dover Holiday Tournament on Tuesday. Dover led 39-18 at the half. The Tigers are 5-0 on the season. T. J. Green paced the Bombers with 15 points.

Montville, 58, Butler 39

Alex Landis scored 17 points to pace the Mustangs in the title game of he Butler Holiday Tournament. Justin Miklacki had 13 points and nine rebounds and Max Carus scored 13 points for Montville (2-2). Thomas LaChance scored 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Kinnelon 56, Wallkill Valley 52, OT

The Colts outscored the Rangers by a 4-0 margin in the extra session. Kinnelon is 2-2 on the year.

Governor Livingston 55, Jefferson 38

Jared Schuster had 12 points and Griffin Reilly had 11 points for the Falcons (0-3) in Morris Knolls Tournament play.

Pequannock 42, Golda Och 26

Derek Nelson scored 15 points and Jamie Morella added seven for the Golden Panthers in Blue and Gold Tournament play. Pequannock took a 19-4 first-quarter advantage. The Golden Panthers will face Mountain Lakes in Wednesday’s final.

Mountain Lakes 62, Livingston 59

Tate Gillie’s half court buzzer-beater lifted the Lakers. Chris Boyhan scored 20 points and Gillie had 14. Mountain Lakes rallied from a 44-41 deficit to start the fourth quarter.

Morris Hills 45, High Point 42

Zach Johnson scored 10 points and Derrien Coley added nine as the Scarlet Knights gutted out a victory in the Ranger Tournament at Wallkill Valley. Morris Hills is 4-0 on the season.

Morristown 57, Bloomfield 47

Rohan Walker scored 22 points to fuel the Colonials in Len Sepanak Tournament play in Basking Ridge. Collin Brunnock tallied 11 points and Kevin Hoehn added nine for Morristown (3-2).

Whippany Park 56, Voorhees 45

Ryan Gaynor’s 26-point performance paced the Wildcats in Roxbury Tournament play. Mark Basista had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Whippany Park pulled away with a 15-6 third-quarter run.

Delbarton 64, Mendham 55

Steve Clapp scored 37 points to lift the Green Wave in a J. P. Flynn Tournament consolation contest. Dan Cimaglia contributed 10 points for Delbarton (3-3). The Green Wave pulled away with a 22-16 fourth-quarter burst. Jake Stagman had 12 points and Jamie Conklin added 10 for the Minutemen (4-2).

Wayne Valley 66, West Morris 47

Dom Grauso and Chase Wanic scored 16 points apiece in the title game of the J. P. Flynn Tournament. Nick Goodwin earned MVP honors with a 23-point, 20-rebound performance.

Morris Catholic 77, West Milford 53

Amir Allen scored 25 points including his 1,000th career point for the Crusaders in J. P. Flynn Tournament consolation round action. Rob Birstonas scored 26 points and Jordan Spencer added 11 points for Morris Catholic (5-1)
