Chatham remains unbeaten; Mendham, Knolls win squeakers


Colin McKenna scored 17 points to lift Chatham to a 56-45 triumph over Roxbury in boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Jack Rooney added 15 points for the unbeaten Cougars. Chatham is 9-0 on the season. The Cougars pulled away with a 28-15 second-half effort.

Hanover Park 83, Butler 45

The Hornets are 7-3. John Crown had 27 points to pace Hanover Park. Michael Boeckel added 16 points and Matthew Pitts had 12 for the Hornets.

Morris Knolls 52, Montville 51

Luke Urbanik scored 17 points in the Golden Eagles’ narrow road victory. Michael Chapman added 14 for Morris Knolls. Alex Landis had 20 points for the Mustangs.

Delbarton 63, Parsippany Hills 26

Steve Clapp scored 24 points to pace the Green Wave (4-5).

Randolph 55, Morristown 51

Ryan Maughan scored 13 points and Julian Boykins added 11 to lift the Rams in a tight contest. Kevin Hoehn had 17 points and Collin Brunnock and Rohan Walker had 14 points apiece for the Colonials.

Mount Olive 84, Morris Hills 73

Jason Drury scored 29 points and Jared Traub added 18 to fuel the Marauders. Ronson Gay added 12 points for Mount Olive. Gavin Ciccia scored 23 points and Chris Carabello had 18 for the Scarlet Knights.

Mendham 48, West Morris 47

Kevin Skehill made his only basket of the night count. He knocked down a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining in the Minutemen’s victory. Nick Pellechia had 13 points and Jamie Conklin added 11 points for Mendham. Justin Oh scored 19 for the Wolfpack.

Whippany Park 72, Madison 36

Ryan Gaynor scored 30 points and Mark Basista had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats. Santi Quintero had 13 points for the Dodgers.

Parsippany 62, Kinnelon 54

Tommy Nowicki’s 16-point effort gave the Red Hawks a boost. Declan Devens and Derek Principe added 14 points each for Parsippany. Dylan Cathcart scored 21 points for the Colts.

Dover 57, Boonton 35

Dmitri Brouard scored 15 points and Matt Kraemer added 10 to lift the Tigers. T.J. Green had 10 points for the Bombers.
