Rooney buzzer beater lifts Chatham; Mo-Beard triumphs

Jack Rooney hit a layup at the buzzer to lift Chatham to a 33-31 win over Mendham in boys basketball action on Thursday.

Rooney scored 12 points to pace the Cougars. Chatham led 19-16 at the half.

Morristown-Beard 66, Dover 65

Brian Monaghan scored 33 points to lift the Crimson. Zach Dees had 12 points and nine rebounds and Raphael Castillo had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Morristown 56, Delbarton 41

Collin Brunnock and Luke Haralampoudis scored 13 points each to fuel the Colonials triumph. Rohan Walker scored 10 points and Kevin Hoehn had nine points for Morristown. Matt Douglas and Dan Cimaglia scored nine points each for the Green Wave.

Jefferson 59, High Point 57

The Falcons rallied from a 46-39 deficit going into the fourth quarter. Steven Breeman scored 13 points and Jeff Francis had 12 for Jefferson.

Hanover Park 60, Madison 41

The Hornets led 27-16 at the half. Hanover Park is 12-5 overall.

Mountain Lakes 44, Parsippany 31

Cade Siddron scored 13 points to pace the Lakers. Mountain Lakes took control early with a 15-7 run. Declan Devens scored 13 points for the Red Hawks.

Morris Catholic 47, Pequannock 44

Amir Allen scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to spark the Crusaders. Morris Catholic rallied from a 35-25 fourth-quarter deficit. Rob Birstonas added 10 points and nine rebounds. Adam Curich scored 19 points for the Golden Panthers.

Randolph 49, Sparta 30

The Rams improve to 13-3. Randolph led 23-15 at the half.

Roxbury 58, Morris HIlls 40

A 22-8 second-quarter effort helped the Gaels build a 40-17 halftime advantage.

Whippany Park 60, Boonton 38

The Wildcats improve to 11-5. Mark Basista had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Robbie Madison and Joe Michalewsky scored 10 points apiece for Whippany Park. Nate Maquiling scored 13 points for the Bombers.

Montville 55, West Morris 41

Max Carus and Anthony Bio scored 11 points apiece and Joe DelloStritto registered 10 points to lift the Mustangs. Dom Grauso scored 10 points for the Wolfpack. The teams were tied at 19-all at the half.
