Chatham edges Morristown; Roxbury tops Randolph

Ryan Gaynor had 22 points to lift Whippany Park to a 57-45 triumph over Kinnelon in boys basketball action on Thursday. Joe Michalewski added nine points and Mark Basista had eight for the Wildcats. Whippany Park built a 38-28 advantage going into the final period. Matt Stewart scored 26 for the Colts.

Mountain Lakes 52, Madison 34

Cade Siddron scored 13 points, Chris Boyhan had 11 and Jake Schicke finished with 10 points for the Lakers.  Mountain Lakes had a 36-30 edge going into the final period. Matt Mulcahy had 11 points for the Dodgers.

Hanover Park 44, West Morris 31

John Crown scored 15 points to spark the Hornets. Donny Dattolo had 14 points and Matthew Pitts added 10 points. A 19-7 fourth-quarter effort put the game away for Hanover Park. Dom Grauso had 10 points for the Wolfpack.

Delbarton 70, Montville 37

Stephen Clapp scored 42 points in the Green Wave triumph. Delbarton led 36-18 at the break. Max Carus had 17 for the Mustangs.

Dover 63, Parsippany 61

The Tigers rallied from a 51-44 fourth-quarter deficit to earn the victory.

Morris Knolls 79, Parsippany Hills 38

Michael Chapman scored 25 points to pace the Golden Eagles. Luke Urbanik added 13 and Hunter Kaidy and Nick Vittorio had nine points each. Evan Chao scored 10 points for the Vikings.

Pope John 62, Morris Hills 37

Kevin Hogrelius scored nine points to pace the Scarlet Knights.

Roxbury 49, Randolph 45

The Gaels rallied from a 20-16 halftime deficit to stun the Rams.

Chatham 56, Morristown 54

The Cougars led 30-25 at the half and held on for the win.

Wednesday

Princeton Day 66, Morristown-Beard 62

Justin Rodriguez scored 26 points and Zachary Dees had 14 points for the Crimson in the Prep B final held in Princeton. Morristown-Beard rallied from an 8-point deficit and tied the game at 54-all to send it to overtime.
