Hanover Park, Butler, Pequannock triumph


Matthew Winschuh scored 18 points and Michael Boeckel had 12 points to lift Hanover Park to a 63-43 triumph over Whippany Park in boys basketball action on Thursday. Ryan Gaynor led all scorers with 27 points for the Wildcats.

Mount Olive 74, North Hunterdon 47

The Marauders improve to 12-12 on the season.

Jason Drury scored 35 points and sank nine 3-pointers for Mount Olive. Zach Mott added nine points for the Marauders. Mount Olive pulled away with a 24-8 fourth-quarter effort.

Pequannock 57, Mountain Lakes 50

Derek Nelson’s 35-point performance lifted the Golden Panthers. Pequannock rallied from a 35-33 fourth-quarter deficit. Chris Boyhan scored 27 points for the Lakers.

Butler 69, Hopatcong 58

Nick Lasala scored 15 points and Kevin Rooney and Danny Polons had 14 points apiece for the Bulldogs (5-18). Butler led 27-22 t the half.

High Point 59, Roxbury 47

Steven Loreng had 16 points and Grant Dixon had 13 for the Gaels.

Immaculata 65, Morris Catholic 58

The Crusaders led 14-12 after the first quarter but Immaculata pulled away.

Morris Hills 49, Madison 42

Gavin Ciccia scored 11 points and Eric Look added 10 points for the Scarlet Knights. Morris Hills rallied from a 28-17 halftime deficit.

Newton 56, Montville 41

Alex Landis scored 16 points for the Mustangs.

Millburn 42, Mendham 29

Jamie Conklin had 10 points to pace the Minutemen.
