Morristown ends impressive campaign

Hackensack defeated Morristown 67-64 in the North 1, Group IV final on Monday.

Rohan Walker scored 28 points including three 3-pointers and Kevin Hoehn scored 16 points for the Colonials.

It was Morristown’s first appearance in a sectional title game in more than 40 years. The Colonials finish at 19-8.

Morristown got off to a great start and led 18-4 after the first period. The Colonials still led 26-20 at the half. Hackensack took control of the game with a 22-4 third quarter effort. The Comets led 42-30 going into the final period. However, Morristown finished with a flurry and threatened late. Walker had 17 of his points in the fourth quarter and Hoehn added seven points in a 35-point fourth quarter.
