Delbarton captures Flynn Tournament


Tournament MVP Matt Douglas had 12 points and 12 rebounds to spark Delbarton to a 58-48 victory over Wayne Valley in the championship game of the J. P. Flynn Tournament on Thursday.

Jaedan Khubani added 15 points and six rebounds for Delbarton. The Green Wave dominated the second quarter with a 17-5 effort which they built into a 29-17 halftime advantage.

Bayonne 62, Morris Catholic 57

Brett Henches scored 16 points and six rebounds and Jesse Paradiso had 14 points for the Crusaders in the Flynn Third-place consolation contest.

Plainfield 48, Mendham 44

The Minutemen dropped to 2-2. Kevin Skehill scored 17 points and Nick Pellecchia had 14 for Mendham. In a Flynn consolation game.

Chatham 56, Summit 42

Mac Bredahl’s 15-point performance lifted the Cougars in Cougar Classic action. Graham LeMon and Jack Rooney had 11 points each and Ryan Doherty had 10 for Chatham. The Cougars are 5-1.

New Providence 66, Hanover Park 64

Matt Winschuh scored 23 points and Eddie Feeney had 13 point for the Hornets (3-3) in Cougar Classic action.

Parsippany HIlls 58, Parsippany 43

The Vikings win out in the cross-town rivalry contest held in Butler. Evan Chao and Arjun Naggendran scored 18 points apiece for the Vikings. Ralph Jean-Francois had 10 points for the Red Hawks.

Pompton Lakes 51, Butler 37

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-4.

Morristown-Beard 79, Perth Amboy Tech 45

Brian Monaghan scored 23 points and Justin Rodriquez had 22 to lift Morristown-Beard in the consolation round of the Al Lobalbo Tournament in Elizabeth. The Crimson improve to 5-1.
