Madison rallies to stun Kinnelon


Sam Rosselli’s 3-point shot with three seconds left provided the difference in Madison’s 50-49 upset victory over Kinnelon in boys basketball action on Monday.

P. J. Mulcahy scored 14 points and Matt Mulcahy added nine for the Dodgers. Madison (3-5) scored the last 14 points in the contest in the come-from-behind triumph.

Matt Haughey added eight points and Rosselli had six off the bench. Austin Tchikatilov scored 18 points and Matt Stewart added 10 for the Colts (7-2).

Morristown Beard 66, Morris Catholic 47

Brian Monaghan scored 22 points including six 3-pointers and Justin Rodriguez added 16 points for the Crimson 8-1. Chimdi Ewenike had 16 points and Jason Paradiso had 10 for the Crusaders.

Dover 65, Whippany Park 59, OT

Sebastien Garcia had 16 points and Shaun Cave had 14 for the Tigers. Dover outscored Whippany Park 12-6 the overtime period. Robbie Madison had 15 points to pace the Wildcats.

Hanover Park 82, Boonton 48

Michael Boeckel had a career high 30 points, nine assists and seven steals to spark the Hornets. Joey Jandoli had 21 points and eight rebounds and Eddy Feeney had 10 points.

Jefferson 69, High Point 41

Steve Breeman’s 18-point performance lifted the Falcons. Joe Batelli added another 15 for Jefferson. The Falcons led 31-12 at the half.

Mountain Lakes 58, Pequannock 52

The Lakers rallied from an 11-point deficit to earn the win. Tate Gillie scored 20 points and Jack Baker had 17 points including 14 in the fourth quarter to lift the Lakers. Grant Borovskis had 14 points for the Golden Panthers.

Butler 44, Parsippany 33

The Bulldogs improve to 2-5. Danny Polons had 17 points and John Vitone added nine points to pace Butler. Emil Matti had 10 points for the Red Hawks.

Montville 76, Parsippany Hills 61

Alex Landis had 28 points and Liam Cassidy had 19 points and 13 rebounds in the Mustangs’ triumph. Joe DelloStritto added 14 points and six rebounds for Montville (5-3).

Chatham 58, Roxbury 33

Johnny Maurer and Jack Rooney each scored a dozen points in the Cougars’ romp.

Livingston 81, West Morris 73

The Wolfpack fall to 3-5. Sean Bryant notched 17 points for West Morris.
