Mendham stuns Morristown; Hanover Park, Chatham win

Nick Pellechia scored 13 points to spark Mendham to a 38-35 upset victory of Morristown in boys basketball action on Friday.

Ryan Stolz added 10 points for Mendham (4-7). The Minutemen rallied from an 18-15 halftime deficit. Kevin Hoehn scored 12 points for Morristown (8-3).

Hanover Park 78, Dover 54

Joey Jandoli’s 22-point, 9-rebound effort sparked the Hornets. Hanover Park pulled away with a 20-11 third-quarter run. Matthew Winschuh scored 19 points and Eddy Feeney had 14 points for the Hornets (10-4). Shaun Cave scored 12 points for Dover.

Morristown-Beard 73, Madison 53

Brian Monaghan scored 26 points to spark the Crimson. Ryan Russo had 15 points and Justin Rodriguez had 13 points for Morristown-Beard (11-2).

Andy Cristos and Matt Haughey scored 13 points apiece for the Dodgers (6-7).

Chatham 37, Montville 34

Graham LeMon scored 13 points in a tight defensive battle. Mac Bredahl added nine points for the Cougars (10-3). Chatham led 16-15 at the half.

Morris Hills 62, Mount Olive 31

Derrien Coley scored 15 points and Philip Pydyszewski added 13 for the Scarlet Knights (6-5),

West Morris 57, Parsippany Hills 34

The Wolfpack improved to 3-9.

Randolph 72, Roxbury 46

The Rams are 8-3. Morgan Gleniewicz and Luke Nathan scored 10 points apiece to pace Randolph. Brandon Lessig scored 16 points for the Gaels.

North Warren 56, Parsippany 51

David Ton scored 15 points and Emil Matti added 11 for the Red Hawks (3-9).

Sparta 56, Jefferson 53

Steve Breeman scored 38 points including six 3-pointers for the Falcons (7-6).
