Mt. Lakes wins at buzzer; Mendham stuns Mo-town

Tate Gillie’s buzzer-beater lifted Mountain Lakes to a 41-39 victory over Morris Knolls in boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Gillie had 16 points including four 3-pointers and Jake Marshall added nine points. Mountain Lakes rallied from a 25-20 halftime deficit. Jordan McDaniel scored 13 points for the Golden Eagles.

Mendham 50, Morristown 48

Ryan Stolz scored 14 points and Ben DeJong had 11 for the Minutemen. Mendham rallied from behind with a 22-9 fourth-quarter run. Jason Blanco had 13 points and Kevin Hoehn added 11 for the Colonials.

Montville 46, Chatham 35

Alex Landis had 11 points and eight rebounds and Falzan Saeed added nine points to spark the Mustangs’ upset. Montville led 23-13 at the half.

Morris Hills 48, Dover 40

The Scarlet Knights are 9-12. Philip Pydyszewski scored 19 points an Andrew Behrendt notched 12 for Morris Hills. C.J. Scott led the Tigers with 13.

Mount Olive 77, Jefferson 69

The Marauders led 46-27 at the half. Mount Olive improves to 9-13.

Morris Catholic 79, Pequannock 57

Jason Paradiso poured in 26 points to fuel the Crusaders’ triumph. Chimdi Ewanike added 20 points for Morris Catholic which led 43-24 at the half. Jonathan Wilson scored 15 points for the Golden Panthers.

Parsippany Hills 55, West Morris 35

Jason Reid’s 21-point performance paced the Vikings. Parsippany Hills held a 32-11 advantage at the half. Aidan Healy scored 11 points for the Wolfpack.

Randolph 73, Roxbury 59

Luke Nathan scored 20 points and Justin Polesuk had 16 for the Rams. Brandon Lessig paced the Gaels with 19 points.
