Mo-Beard, Randolph, Mendham prevail

Stephen Sangree scored 14 points and Chris Pooler added 10 points to lift Morristown-Beard to a 50-44 triumph over  Madison 44 in boys basketball action on Saturday.

The Crimson (4-1) repelled a third-quarter Dodgers rally and pulled away with an 18-13 fourth-quarter effort. Gavin Wallace scored 16 points including three 3-pointers for winless Madison (0-6).

Randolph 58, Delbarton 50

Andre Sciancelepore had 22 points and six rebounds and Mike Talbert had 10 points and seven rebounds to help the Rams improve to 2-5. Randolph led 28-23 at the half and pulled away late. The Green Wave drop to 1-5.

Mendham 66, Parsippany Hills 46

A 17-3 third quarter run helped the Minutemen build a 44-30 advantage going into the final period.

Jefferson 59, Hopatcong 36

The Falcons improve to 4-0. Jefferson led 28-14 at the half. Chris Telman scored 12 points and Tyler Jones added 11 for Jefferson. Hopatcong drops to 1-5.

Dover 64, Sussex Tech 32

The Tigers improve to 3-2. Ryan Charyshyn scored 16 points. Dover led 32-18 at the half and slowly pulled away.

High Point 50, Morris Knolls 47

Kyle Adams scored 20 points to pace the Wildcats 4-1. Ryan Bornemann had 17 points and Carroll Rich had 10 for the Golden Eagles (3-2).
